My artistic expressions include painting, mixed media, and photography.

My current status is active duty, as a member of the U.S. Army since 1997 -- with deployments to Iraq in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008.

I believe there is a wide gap between the reality of our current conflicts and the perspective civilians get from the media. In my art I try to bridge that gap. I am not done with the GWOT and I don't believe our enemies are either. Politicians can declare it done, but it's not over for us if it's not over for them.

This painting is symbolic of the way the media has influenced soldiers on the battle field in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This is a painting of a practical joke I played on my buddy in Mosul, Iraq.  He wanted a helicopter ride, so we bought this tricycle when we were on a patrol downtown.  I taped a tent spreader to it and set it out on the flight line.  I told him we had a mission and took him to his ride...

Photo of a MRAP when we were running around in Northern Iraq.  We were parked at a dam waiting for some "Al Qaeda Frogmen" to show up and attack.  Disappointingly, they never showed up.
