Sam Summerwolfe is a native American combat
Vietnam Veteran who served a tour of duty in
Vietnam from July 1966 to July 1967.
He considers himself to be of average
intelligence, but with a dedicated passion
to his creative works.
Over the decades, since his experiences in
Vietnam, Sam has tried to channel his
energies into the areas of Music and
Writing. With the progress of time he
has seen the need to help other veterans and
combat veterans find a form to share and
express their creative side with the world.
Sam's music and writing are available for
your review on this website, as well as,
other veteran artists. Please take the

The painting
“Memories At The Wall” is a commissioned
painting by Joe MacKechnie. It is from the
perspective of Sam Summerwolfe, a combat
veteran from the Vietnam War and his battle
with his own demon of PTSD. The painting is
part of a larger project which includes a
play about PTSD and a musical CD that is
incorporated into the play.
A Print of this painting has been submitted
to the Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in
Chicago, Illinois for review and
consideration to be accepted as part of
their permanent collection. Nearly one
hundred Vietnam Veterans have seen this
painting and many have requested copies. |

“Vietnam Trilogy” is a three (3) part
perspective in poetic form about the Vietnam
War. Written by a Vietnam Veteran trying to
understand his own experiences with that war
and then relate them to others who were
never there so they could better understand
what the Vietnam War was all about. In a
larger sense it is about all wars. It has
been accepted into the National Vietnam
Veterans Art Museum in Chicago, Illinois and is
on display in the written documents section
as part of their permanent collection. |
